Additional Shine Information

The UK’s finest, multiple award-winning artist Estelle is back with a brand new album on a brand new label. Signed by US ‘Soul Sensation’ John Legend to his Homeschool label, the album is a joint venture between Homeschool and Atlantic Records.

"I have known John for a while now...we worked on my first album 18th day before he was signed. He featured on "Hey Girl," played piano on "Free," and appeared in the video. As I went to do my second album I asked him to help exec-produce it. As I progressed with it, I left my label and he said he’d sign me and here we are today. We always make great songs together. While I like and listen to a lot of musicians - there aren’t many I respect on a level to help me write songs or upgrade/push me as an artist...but John is one of them."

The album features collaborations with the likes of Kanye West, Will.I.Am, Wyclef Jean, Mark Ronson, Ceelo, Swizz Beatz who are just some of the ‘hitmakers’ that Estelle has been in the studio with...and of course, John Legend.

What Customers Say About Shine:

I bought the CD as a gift & did not hear any complaints, Estelle is a great artist & the whole transaction was very smooth & timely.

I heard one song and thought i would buy the cd i bought it for american boy.I was not disapointed. i wouldnt call this hip hop its got more of a smoother flowlike a reggee feel with some soul. i dont know how to describe it but i know i like it.I have never heard of her before and this is my first cd i have purchased by Estelle.deffo one for your cd collection.

This album is GREAT. From the beginning to end it keeps moving and has so many different styles you can't get bored. It is one of the best female hip/hop+pop albums I have bought in a long time.

The sound of the album is reminiscient of a Caribbean vibe. It upsets me that I did not pay this album any attention until early '09. She even ryhmes on 'So Much Out The Way', a track with Wyclef playing hype man but with a groovy version of Bob Marley's 'So Much Things To Say' for the hook. I first heard 'American Boy' last summer and I thought that it was a cool catchy song but it's nothing compared to the rest of the album. Estelle's voice is very sultry on 'Shine' which is a great title track, by the way. I'm sure that you have heard 'Come Over' and guess what.the other songs get even sexier than that. Check out the album, I think it's better than Jazmine Sullivan's new joint (and I like that one).

I really like this CD, I just pop it in and I let it ride. I first heard it at a party and ordered it the next day. Estelle has a nice style.
